Have you often wondered what goes on behind the scenes in your local dentist office? Family Dentistry of Lakewood wants to give you a peek into a typical day in the life of our practice.
Our Daily Routine
We are open Tuesday through Friday from 7am until 3pm. These operating hours were established because I wanted to make sure we are available at the times when our patients need us the most. You can schedule early in the morning or even during your lunch break since our office doesn’t close for lunch.
Before the doors open, my team and I get prepared for your arrival. We hold a staff meeting where we take covid precautions by taking our temperatures and making sure the office is sanitized. We discuss the schedule, establish roles and what we need to do to ensure a positive experience for you. We take time to discuss each patient and what we can do to ensure a problem-free experience.

We are an eclectic and diverse staff that works well together, and each brings special qualities to the team. Our goal is to create an environment that makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. In fact, our patients often express that they love the positive energy and they feel at ease in our office.

Advanced Technology

Digital x-ray sensor
Our digital x-ray sensor produces 1/3 less radiation than the typical machine, while providing our team a highly effective diagnosis.
CEREC intraoral scanner
The CEREC intraoral scanner allows us to digitally scan your teeth without using impression materials that we all dread.
The machine also mills a new tooth in the same day, so you don’t have to make multiple trips to our office.
CBCT 3D imaging software
The CBCT 3d imaging software allows us to provide more extensive diagnosis and treatment in-house.
The CBCT scans the entire head quickly and efficiently giving us a detailed map of your teeth/mouth, bones, root canals, and nerves.
We can diagnose with confidence and work out a treatment plan often eliminating the need for a referral to a specialist.
A Typical Day's Treatments
We offer a variety of dental services, such as preventative, cosmetic and restorative treatments. Our appointments throughout the day can range from dental cleanings, root canals and crowns to teeth whitening and clear aligners. We respect your time and don’t rush you through your appointment. We take time to discuss any concerns you may have and any problems or issues we encounter.

At the end of the day when the last patient leaves, we close the office and head home to beat the afternoon traffic. I value family and respect my staff’s personal time. Closing at 3pm gets all of us home to spend time with the ones we love.
